Merrymaking with medieval theme

Blackstone Ipswich Cambrian ChoirA medieval theme has been adopted by the Blackstone Ipswich Cambrian Choir for its upcoming theatre restaurant, Below the Salt.

Beginning this Friday night, Below the Salt will run on Friday and Saturday nights, for three weeks.

Director Murray Milliken says audiences will join in a distinctive night of Old English fun and feasting.

“Each night’s entertainment will feature music — from medieval to Wicked, Camelot to Gilbert and Sullivan, Abba to Brian Adams and some traditional Steeleye Span for good measure,” Mr Milliken said.

“Interspersed between the song and dance routines, guests will be treated to a three-course feast.

“There will be hearty soups, succulent roasts and delicious desserts.

“Meanwhile, the Boar’s Head tavern will dispense all manner of thirst-quenching beverages.

“So come along, sing along, clap along and laugh along to fabulous music, hilarious antics, madcap merrymaking and funtastic festivities, during an unforgettable night.”
