The Department of Philosophy at Wheaton College offers the first lecture in the McManis Lecture Series at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2.
Scott MacDonald will speak on “Medieval Philosophy and the Foundations of Christian Intellectualism: How Augustine made it Safe for Smart People to be Christians.”
MacDonald serves as chairman of the Sage School of Philosophy and the Norma K. Regan Professor in Christian Studies at Cornell University.
Free and open to the public, the event will be held in Room 339 of Blanchard Hall at 501 College Ave. in Wheaton.
